Barra has private, unspoilt beaches, surrounded by the Inhambane estuary on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other. The lodge is nestled among groves of coconut trees and all rooms have superb beach and sea views. Situated 485km north of Maputo, Barra Lodge is accessible by road and is a beautiful drive on tarred road which is suitable for normal vehicles.
Guest Rooms:
There are various options of accommodation that meet each individual's needs. Barra has 19 Casitas, 1 Family Casita, 20 Self catering cottages, 2 Bunk Houses and 11 campsites. There is also a luxurious yacht you can live aboard.
Casitas The traditional Casitas made of thatch, brick and reeds create a charming atmosphere. The Casitas are fitted with two beds, a shower and toilet, en suite. All have sea views and are a stone's throw from the beach.
Self catering cottages Each cottage has its 2 bedrooms, lounge / dining room area, kitchen, shower and separate toilet. There are 6 comfortable single beds. The shower has hot and cold water. All the basic amenities are supplied including a fridge, 2 plate gas stove, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, utensils and bedding linen. The cottages are serviced daily. This traditional style of accommodation sets the scene for an unforgettable holiday.
